ART, NATURE AND THE MEDITERRANEAN
I'm Julie Aubrun. I was born in Nancy, France, and grew up surrounded by nature and animals. From a very young age, I was passionate about art and colors, a sensitivity that led me to study visual communication in Paris at the age of 18.
During my studies, illustration particularly sparked my interest. I have always felt a deep connection with colors, shapes, and textures, and this led me to embark on a long journey of discovery through painting and artistic creation.
After finishing my studies, I moved to the south of France, to Marseille, and later to Barcelona.
Since 2012 I have lived in Formentera, the smallest of the Balearic Islands. It is here that I have developed a very personal visual language through watercolor. My works are inspired by the biodiversity that surrounds me, the Mediterranean nature, and the traditions of the Balearic Islands.
My style is naturalistic, but I interpret colors freely, giving my images a unique poetry and personality.
My creations combine nature, tradition and art, and seek to bring a little of the essence and beauty of the Mediterranean into homes.
