 The fadrí (Thalassoma pavo) is one of the most colorful fish in the Mediterranean and inhabits the transparent waters surrounding beaches of Formentera such as Ses Illetes, Llevant, Migjorn, Cala Saona and Es Caló de Sant Agustí.
 
 
 It exhibits sexual dimorphism, with males and females displaying different coloration. Furthermore, it is a protogynous hermaphrodite: some individuals are born female and can transform into males during their lifetime. The adult male is distinguished by the intense blue patch located at the base of the pectoral fin.
