 The La Mola Lighthouse was built between 1860 and 1861 and officially began operating on November 30, 1861. It was designed by the engineer Emili Poy i Bonet.
 
 
 It is located on the easternmost point of Formentera, atop the cliffs of La Mola. The tower is 22 meters tall and stands 142 meters above sea level.
 
 
 It is one of the most valuable heritage elements of Formentera and is declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC).
