 The Olivera de Cort is about 500–600 years old and comes from the Pedruixella Petit estate, in Pollença.
 

 
 In 1989 it was transplanted to the Plaza de Cort. Its owner, Jaume Batle, donated it to the Palma City Council to become part of the plaza.
 

 
 In 2019, the City Council installed a plaque in recognition of his donation. The tree has been listed as a remarkable tree since 2003.
