Wild carrot (Daucus carota) grows spontaneously along roads, fields and open areas of Formentera.

During flowering it forms delicate umbels of small flowers, mainly white, although pink and violet tones may appear, especially in the central flowers.

These small splashes of color line the paths and enhance walks around Formentera, creating a light and ever-changing landscape that is especially attractive for watercolor and landscape painting.
