 The hoopoe (Upupa epops) is a bird found on Formentera. It is considered a rare breeding and resident species on the island, although it is also recorded during migration.
 

 
 It lives mainly in open, rural areas, where it forages for insects and other invertebrates on the ground. Its reproduction has been recorded on Formentera, as well as its presence in places like Es Brolls and Can Parra.
