 The Pitiusas lizard (Podarcis pityusensis) is endemic to Ibiza, Formentera, and their islets. Its populations exhibit a wide variety of colors: there are green, brown, black, and also bluish morphs.
 
 
 The species exhibits a high degree of differentiation between island populations. In Ibiza, one of its main current threats is the horseshoe whip snake (Hemorrhois hippocrepis), an introduced species that preys on the lizard.
